Look at our beloved Physician
Who, like a thief, hung on a Tree!
Oh, how he was treated like a crooked magician,
Though He truly did good for free!
Who will care to look and ponder?

See the Great Physician
Who, as the Victor, stands righteous forever!
Oh, how He took our sicknesses and corruption,
That we may stand victorious forever!
Who will turn to see and wonder?

Though darkness roamed and earth was yet wild,
The Father called forth Light out of Darkness;
Although man formed from dust was yet crude,
The Lamb was slain from the foundation of the worlds.

Who is that Light of God?
Shining bright, steadfast and bold?
The Light of God is the Great Physician!
The Light that lightens all darkness and confusion,
Shining bright for all;
Though refused, yet noble,
Lighting the blind; Though despised, yet humble.

Who is this Lamb of God?
Doing good, so meek and kind;
The Lamb of God is the Great Physician!
The Lamb that takes away all sickness and sin;
Setting captives free, yet captured with fetters;
Healing the dumb, yet Himself was dumb,
Ready for slaughter.

By Thy word, You forgive sins;
No counter word wins.
At Thy word, You give true health;
No other word gives true wealth.
Your ever-living word is Life and Amen!

I rejoice at Thy word, believing;
I won’t despise Your chastening;
We’ll voice out Thy word, receiving;
We won’t reject Your baptism.
Your ever-shining word is Light and Amen!

No sickness can withstand Your name,
Son of God, Sun of Righteousness!
No darkness can resist Your flame,
Lamb of God, Lamp of Righteousness!

So, shine and cause me to see!
Let the Wind of Light blow!
Fill us, blow through us to shake the world!
Speak, and cause me to hear!
Let the Water of Life flow;
Fill me, flow through me to fill the earth!

You laid down Your life on the Altar of Mercy;
Now sit, exalted forever, King of Glory.
Forevermore, You dispense salvation –

Jesus Christ, the Great Physician!
